Every year my family would go to this mall and watch a movie and stuff my mouth with KFC. I also expected the same this year but you see my dad has a very rich friend of his who invited us to their party. Just to prove how awesome they were i will tell you an incident which happened with us.
...Long time ago...(really it is just some months ago.)
Niranjan was sitting in the dining table staring at the text of his History notebook studying for this Unit test when his father Gopal entered the room.
'Ah!', the 13 year old boy thought , 'At last i got an excuse to get rid of this notebook.'
You see, Niranjan was not a boy who liked to study(every boy has the same habit.) and would try to find any type of excuse to escape S.St. which was popularly known as Sara Sal Torture.
"Dad! What happened?" , he asked.
"Nothing Chakare(i think it means 'Darling' in Malayalam)." was always his starting line , "my friend is coming here right now to visit."
'Great news for me.' said Niranjan's conscience ,'another excuse to escape this crap.'
"Are aa varanne?" ("Who is coming?") his mother asked.
"Premi is coming." my dad replied.
Niranjan had no idea who Premi aunty was but it didn't matter much.
{30 minutes later...}
The door bell rang. Niranjan charged towards the dining room and quickly opened his history notebook. He had to put an impression that he used to study a lot which was and still is a big fat lie.
"Hello !" He heard his father say as he greeted the two guests enter the small 3 room house.
Then his mom and dad went on gossiping with the two guests for the next 30 minutes when he just sat listening to the political conversation between the 4 adults. After some time it was time for them to leave. Premi aunty stood up and said ,"It was great meeting you Gopal. Here is a gift we bought for you. "
As usual initially Gopal rejected the gift but then happily accepted it expecting it to be a small gift but the shock was delivered only after they left the house. But before reaching the end of this short story, Niranjan did like Premi aunty. She was funny and fun loving. Okay, now let us skip to the end. Gopal opened the gift to find a box. When he further opened the box he found a beautiful watch placed neatly in it. On it was written - "Emporio Armani".
THE END
So , i went to this New Year party and i had also heard that they had this huge Labrador name JOE who was well trained. As you know i love dogs and was so excited to see Joe. The house was huge and so was Joe. He raced towards my brother and then to me. I brushed it a bit and then started playing with Joe.
Later everyone went upstairs and my brother wanted me to come too but i didn't want to leave the dog who was now sitting silently on his bed. After several minutes only did i accept and go upstairs. Premi aunty had't changed a bit. I quietly went and sat on their couch which was the softest couch in which i had ever sat. My brother and i gossiped as on the other hand my parents with the others were having what some people may call alcohol. (Really i don't know if wine or beer is regarded as alcohol but right now i may just call it that.) Later came a bowl of my favourite Cashews. I gobbled some of them and started playing Jetpack Joy Ride on my Kindle Fire. Then came a whole bowl of Lays and Sausages with samosas. Till i had cleaned the whole bowl it was already 11 p.m. Then came Karaoke time. Everyone went on singing and it was fun to listen to people sing horribly. (Even though i don't think there was anyone who sang bad.) By 11:55 came the real musicians with guitars and started singing songs till it was 12. Everyone hugged each other till either their hands were hurting or they found out that their shirts were full of sweat. Some more songs were played and sung till everyone was exhausted. Then came Premi Aunty saying that everyone should dance. She removed all the tables and played music. In seconds the dance floor was filled with women (including my mom who calls herself a great dancer). I just lay on my brother's lap to avoid being called on stage. Then all the women sat down and it was the boys' turn (excluding me, my brother and another gu called Aditya). These bhaiyas who were dancing danced like proffesionals, copying every single move in the original dance of that exact song. The room was filled with energy and loud music. I was having a lot of fun and no one kept track of the time. It was already 2. Later came a time when they played "Gangam Style" and that was the only time when i actually stepped on stage (even though just for some seconds) and danced.
Then Premi aunty again came up and said dinner was ready. Interesting right?! Dinner at 3 in the morning. But no one could match the food. They had meat loaf, honey chicken, friend chicken, fish etc. In desert there was rum cake, chocolate bed pudding and some fruit salad which was fabulous.The day went fabulous and we reached home only by 4:30 and thus i eventually woke up by 11:30. Later i got this call from my friend Mayank wishing me a Happy New Year. Then he brought this topic which even made me curious. I was a person who used to call him and another friend of mine Shaurya on a daily basis and eat their head but in these summer vacations i hadn't called them even once.
Right now i got to take a bath fellows so bye everyone. Adios.
