A Review I made when i was 6-7 years old!!!

I found this review somewhere hidden in my computer. I didn't even know i had done such a thing. There were some grammatical errors when i read it, but i wanted to keep it the kiddish way.

The Snow-White Pigeon

This is a story about a caring girl who looks after a pretty pigeon hardly as she didn’t have much money. This shows her love to animals.

There was a little girl named Isabel. She liked animals and birds very much but she did not have one. She used to feed the creatures in the jungle left over food. One day, she saw a white pigeon joining the feast. Isabel told her mother that she wanted the white pigeon. Her mother said no but when a cat hurt the bird, she allowed Isabel to keep the bird till it gets OK. They kept the bird inside a rabbit hutch. After sometime, she had nothing left to feed the bird. Then Isabel went to Mrs. Straw’s barn and said, “I want some corns”. She gave Isabel some corn when the girl washed and cleaned some eggs for her. When she went to the barn again on another day; she had to give milk to the baby lambs. This time the woman gave her four apples for her work. But Isabel asked for another handful of corn instead of apples. When she got to the hatch to feed the pigeon, the bird showed her an egg. She took the egg laid by the pigeon and showed it to her mother. But her mother told Isabel that the pigeon was of Miss. Kennedy. Isabel told Miss. Kennedy that her pigeon had laid an egg. The woman told Isabel to keep the baby and to give the mother to her. So, Isabel obeyed and when the egg hatched, she named the little pigeon ‘Snow White’.

How Miranda was Born

There was a scientist who had a lab to work. Kel was a boy who loved to drink orange soda. He had a cousin named Kenan. The scientist made twenty-five orange sodas for Kel. Kel was going to drink the orange soda but he first said, “ Who loves orange soda? Kel loves orange soda. Is it true? I do, I do, I do”. After some days all the orange sodas began to finish and there was only one left. He wanted to drink it but he left it in the freezer. His sister was going to the scientist’s lab and she took the orange soda to drink there. When Kel went outside his house, he saw the bottle with his sister but he was too late. His sister had left. He went to Kenan and said,” Kenan give your bike to me for sometime”. Kel took the bike and drove it to the scientist’s lab. When he entered it, he saw his sister starting to drink the orange soda. Kel tackled his sister and the orange soda felled into many chemicals. When Kel came near the chemicals it blasted. When the dust cleared, they saw a girl. The girl ran to the scientist and shouted, “Father!” “ Is this my daughter?” Kel told the scientist what happened. “Then I will name her Miranda,” said the scientist.

When Miranda grew up a little, she won a drawing competition. The prize was a ride in a Hot Air Balloon! But, a strong wind carried the balloon around the world. Miranda saw many things on this adventure. When she came back somehow, the people wanted to make a show of her. In this show Miranda would fly in the hot air balloon and go to different places, like her adventure! They named the show `Miranda the Explorer’. People liked the show and Miranda became famous,

And Kel was still drinking orange soda.

Dad and "BULL"y

These days my dad is getting on my nerves. He is always trying to go near the animal Bully that is ; THE BULL. It is one of the worst creatures i have ever seen. It is like My Dad wants a date with the bulls. I was going with my dad to get my bicycle repaired that, on our way there was a Big , Fat , Black , Scary Bull. Dad was directly going towards the creature. But I pushed him away. This bull relationship is damn confusing. I remember one day when I was going to school and my bus was late. there was a huge , white bull. Dad went towards the bull and made the sound people normally make to call dogs but I dont know what "spark" did the bull see in the call that it came towards dad. My freight had reached my nerves so i ran away. The bull is a creature that is Ugly, Gross, Dangerous, Scary, Fat(i am also a bit fat but that doesn't matter) and Dull. Its dark black eyes remind me of Voldemort, and the fat stomach reminds me of Sumo wrestlers. The horns remind me of Devils and the uncleansed skin reminds me of.....hmm.. ME! So you can see, a combine of Voldemort, Sumo wrestler, devils and especially ME is the worst creature you can get.

Therefore - the moral is,

bulls are bad and attack us like they are bullies.

The Apocalypse

( Sob ) Yesterday i was with my friend all night and We went to The terrace. As i was in the astronomy club i figured out that the Orion constellation was visible. i told him about the constellation and showed the nebula. in the image if u see in between the lower torso there are 2-3 shiny dots. that is the great nebula. the galaxy and the whole universe is the most beautiful thing. in this post i will go first with the solar system and then the galaxies. in the end the apocalypse.
So if you all are ready to go through space, put on your seat belts and get ready.......

the solar system
the solar system is where the Earth lies with the other planets which does not contain PLUTO. I get fed up when people tell that Pluto is a part of the "SS"(Solar system). the SS has many beautiful planets including dwarf planets as seen below.

The newspaper said that the apocalypse date is changed from 2012 to April 13th 2036. they said that there is an asteroid which will be hitting Russia. The asteroid is half the size of the earth and when hit can affect the core which will make the earth burst in pieces. i hope to be the last man standing. on the 2012 apocalypse even the movie was made.if the asteroid does not affect the core half the earth will be destroyed and the radiation will make everyone burn to ashes.

My exams got finished. its so awesome but as my bro is in 10th and is going to have his exams i cant take all of the fun. i h ave to read books everyday about 4-5 hour(but i love reading books). i get the comp only 2 hours a day(that is a lot if u see).Today i am going to get my birthday gift, that is my own mobile. my birthday was 11 days ago but due to the exams i could not enjoy it. Its fun to have fun and see your bro(especially elder one) studying. It feels good from inside but also a bit angry as i am not playing the comp 4-5 hours like my friends. its my holidays and i have 23 days days more left. The good part is that i am allowed to go to the library everyday and stay there . The best part of these holidays is that you can tear all your text books which have eaten your heads and you dont have a single book left to study. the bad part is that you have the pressure of going to the next class(that means i am going to 8).for me ~~THE EXAMS ARE OVER AND THE GAME BEGINS.~~

Man, the exams are on and it is a terror ride. My sst and english exams are over. The Spanish and comp. exams are also done. my b'day had passed 3 days before and i met Vinod Kambli, the cricketer in the hotel Radissons. GIRAFFE

Hey guys. Do you want to know about the giraffe. It's an incredible animal. It is the tallest animal in the world. An adult giraffe can grow up to 6 metres tall and can look into a two storied window without even standing on his toetips. It's heart is 0.6 metres long and it's lungs canhold 55 litres of air. A giraffe's neck weighs about 250 kgs. A giraffe 's leg is so long. It is 2 metres long. The back leg looks shorter than the front legs but they are about the same length. Isn't it great.

OWL

Guys, are you scared of owls. If you are, listen.The owl is a very cool bird. It is a nocturnal bird which is awake at night. It is like a sentinel of the place where it lives. It is on it's prowl, in search for food and keeps a watch at night. We people are scared of an owl's hoot, but if men can speak then owl's can hoot, they have the right. Anyway, an owl's hoot is sweeter than a peacock's call. Then why are we afraid of owls? So now don't get scared if you listen to an owl's hoot.

Roald Dahl was born in Llandaff Cardiff, Wales in 1916, to Norwegian parents, Harald Dahl and Sofie Magdalene Dahl (née Hesselberg). Dahl's family had moved from Norway and settled in Cardiff in the 1880s. Roald was named after the polar explorer Roald Amundsen, a national hero in Norway at the time. He spoke Norwegian at home with his parents and sisters. Dahl and his sisters were christened at the Norwegian Church, Cardiff, where their parents worshipped.

In 1920, when Roald was four, his seven-year-old sister, Astri, died from appendicitis. About a month later, his father died of pneumonia at the age of 57, following grief from his daughter's death. Dahl's mother, however, decided not to return to Norway to live with her relatives, but to remain in Wales since it had been her husband's wish to have their children educated in British schools.

Dahl first attended The Cathedral School, Llandaff. At the age of eight, he and four of his friends were caned by the headmaster after putting a dead mouse in a jar of sweets at the local sweet shop, which was owned by a "mean and loathsome" old woman called Mrs. Pratchett (wife of blacksmith David Pratchett). This was known amongst the five boys as the "Great Mouse Plot of 1924". This was Roald's own idea.

Thereafter, he was sent to several boarding schools in England, including Saint Peter's in Weston-super-Mare. His parents had wanted Roald to be educated at a British public school and at the time, due to a then regular boat link across the Bristol Channel, this proved to be the nearest. His time at Saint Peter's was an unpleasant experience for him. He was very homesick and wrote to his mother almost every day, but never revealed to her his unhappiness, being under the pressure of school censorship. Only when she died did he find out that she had saved every single one of his letters, in small bundles held together with green tape. He later attended Repton School in Derbyshire, where, according to his novel Boy, a friend named Michael was viciously caned by Geoffrey Fisher, the man who later became the Archbishop of Canterbury. This caused Dahl to "have doubts about religion and even about God".^[1]

According to David Hein, in his 2008 book Geoffrey Fisher, Archbishop of Canterbury 1945-1961, "Dahl's biographer, Jeremy Treglown, has pointed out, however, that the incident Dahl describes took place in May 1933, one year after Fisher left Repton."

Dahl was very tall, reaching 6'6" (1.98m) in adult life,^[2] and he was good at sports, being made captain of the school Fives and Squash teams, and also playing for the football team. This helped his popularity. He developed an interest in photography. During his years there, Cadbury, a chocolate company, would occasionally send boxes of new chocolates to the school to be tested by the pupils. Dahl himself apparently used to dream of inventing a new chocolate bar that would win the praise of Mr. Cadbury himself, and this proved the inspiration for him to write his third book for children, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Throughout his childhood and adolescent years, Dahl spent his summer holidays in his parents' native Norway, mostly enjoying the fjords. His childhood is the subject of his autobiographical work, Boy: Tales of Childhood.

After finishing his schooling, he spent three weeks hiking through Newfoundland with a group called the Public Schools' Exploring Society (now known as BSES Expeditions). In July 1934, he joined the Shell Petroleum Company.

Following two years of training in the UK, he was transferred to Dar-es-Salaam, Tanganyika (now Tanzania). Along with the only two other Shell employees in the entire territory, he lived in luxury in the Shell House outside Dar-es-Salaam, with a cook and personal servants. While out on assignments supplying oil to customers across Tanganyika, he encountered black mambas and lions, amongst other wildlife.^[1]

Dahl married American actress Patricia Neal on 2 July 1953 at Trinity Church in New York City. Their marriage lasted for 30 years and they had five children: Olivia (who died of measles encephalitis, aged seven), Tessa, Theo, Ophelia, and Lucy. He dedicated The BFG to Olivia.

When he was four months old, Theo Dahl was severely injured when his baby carriage was hit by a taxi in New York City. For a time, he suffered from hydrocephalus, and as a result, his father became involved in the development of what became known as the "Wade-Dahl-Till" (or WDT) valve, a device to alleviate the condition.^[8]^[9]

In 1965, Neal suffered three burst cerebral aneurysms while pregnant with their fifth child, Lucy; Dahl took control of her rehabilitation and she eventually relearned to talk and walk.^[10] They were divorced in 1983 following a turbulent marriage, and he subsequently married Felicity ("Liccy") d'Abreu Crosland (born 12 December 1938), who was 22 years his junior.

Ophelia Dahl is director and co-founder (with doctor Paul Farmer) of Partners in Health, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing health care to some of the most impoverished communities in the world. Lucy Dahl is a screenwriter in Los Angeles. Tessa's daughter Sophie Dahl (who was the inspiration for Sophie, the main character in her grandfather's book The BFG) is a model and author who remembers Roald Dahl as "a very difficult man – very strong, very dominant ... not unlike the father of the Mitford sisters sort of roaring round the house with these very loud opinions, banning certain types – foppish boys, you know – from coming round."

Roald Dahl died in November 1990 at the age of 74 of a rare blood disease, myelodysplastic anaemia (sometimes called "pre-leukemia"), at his home, Gipsy House in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire, and was buried in the cemetery at the parish church of Saints Peter and Paul. According to his granddaughter, the family gave him a "sort of Viking funeral". He was buried with his snooker cues, some very good burgundy, chocolates, HB pencils and a power saw. In his honour, the Roald Dahl Children's Gallery was opened at Buckinghamshire County Museum in nearby Aylesbury.

In 2002, one of Cardiff's modern landmarks, the historic Oval Basin plaza, was re-christened "Roald Dahl Plass". "Plass" means plaza in Norwegian, a nod to the acclaimed late writer's Norwegian roots. There have also been calls from the public for a permanent statue of him to be erected in the city.

Dahl's charitable commitments in the fields of neurology, haematology and literacy have been continued by his widow since his death, through the Roald Dahl Foundation. In June 2005, the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre opened in Great Missenden to celebrate the work of Roald Dahl and advance his work in literacy.

In 2008, the U.K. charity Booktrust and Children's Laureate Michael Rosen inaugurated The Roald Dahl Funny Prize, an annual award to authors of humorous children's fiction.^[11]

The Sombrero Galaxy - 28 million light years from Earth - was voted best picture takenby the Hubble telescope. The dimensions of the galaxy, officially called M104, are as spectacular as its appearance. It has 800 billion suns and is 50,000 light years across.

The Ant Nebula, a cloud of dust and gas whose technical name is Mz3, resembles an ant when observed using ground-based telescopes. The nebula lies within ourgalaxy b et ween 3,000 and 6,000 light years from Earth.

In third place is Nebula NGC 2392, called Eskimo because it looks like a face
surrounded by a furry hood. The hood is, in fact, a ring of com et -shaped objects
flying away from a dying star. Eskimo is 5,000 light years from Earth.

At four is the Cat's Eye Nebula

The Perfect Storm, a small region in the Swan Nebula, 5,500 light years away,
described as 'a bubbly ocean of hydrogen and small amounts of oxygen, sulphur and other elements'.

Hey, this is my second book review. It is about a book Joody Moody. A girl called Joody moody is fed up with her bro. and school. She has got many moods. To get famous, a bad mood, a doctor mood and many more. Her dream is to become like Elizabeth Blackwell.( first women doctor.) Her teacher Mr.Todd gives Judy and the class many projects. Her best friends are Frank( very good in science.),Jessica Finch.( best in spelling.) All her friends and parents had become famouse but she hadn't. Even her brother Stink had become famous. She tried her best but couln't. As a matter of fact, she never gave up. She tried her best. And she does it. But the fun part is that she didn't become famous for other to get to know her name, she became famous from inside her heart as she helped the hospital, but by keeping it a secret. Then she also tries to save the world as their teacher says that we should not throw stuff on the floor just like that and a very important point that don't cut trees, grow them. She tried her best and did it in the start, but then, she couldn't stand it any more as it was very tiering and she couldn't do so much of work. Afterwords she heard about the GIRAFFE trophie.( When you help the world to grow more trees so she made a class activity to collect bottles and grow plants in them. In a month their class collected 389 bottles. in 3 months their class grew all the plants. At the end their principle called Joody to her office and class 3 T to the auditorium. Then their principle came on the stage. She called Joody and gave her the great GIRAFFE trophie and a t-shirt on which it was writen 'save plants'. Their are many more but it is too much i think. But I love this book.

I was playing cricket with my friend. It was the last ball and I had to take four runs to win. My score was 23 for 4. The ball was fast but I hit a paddle sweep. I took three runs. My friend had the ball in his hands and I was running for my forth run but he made me run out. It was a draw. Then we started playing football and I slipped. Ouch!! I shouted but didn't cry. I can't bent my ankle now, when I bend it hurts a lot. From the ankle to my knee it is full of injuries. It hurts till now. I put a bandage but it did not work. When I slept I put a cushion under my leg that no one could touch it while sleeping.

An unbelievable accident

A day in school. Last day and after that.... SUMMER VACATIONS!
It was our break time. I went to my ground . The colour of the sky was changing from blue to yellow, yellow to brown and brown to red. It felt like the temperature was changing. Suddenly; a dust storm. I and my friends [almost all of us] ran to the foyer and stood like a statue. After few seconds my friend looked out and told us that the duststorm was coming towards us. We ran into our classes and shut down the windows. An announcement came that there will be no studies that day. Every one, even I shouted in excitement. But then I had to go to the loo. It was urgent. I went downstairs to the toilet when I saw the duststorm coming upstairs. I told my teacher about it and then she told me to tell the same thing to each and every class in the 3rd floor and to keep the doors closed. I did what she said and went back to my class. I forgot that I had to go to the loo. One boy opened his window and saw a very frightening thing. A boy lying in the playground. Everyone else saw it. I told my teacher about it she stared out of our window. After that we all got to kno0w that it was just a big black coloured plastic bag. The teachers then went out to look if there was any child somewhere else. After a few minutes the duststorm stopped and heavy rain started. I asked my teacher whether we can open the windows. But she said, " No. What if the wind breaks the window." Then we camly sat down on our chairs. Then my loo problem was gone. It felt as if with so much of tension my loo evaporated. :-D . After some time I got a certificate for good singing in the previous day. My mother came to pick me up after few minutes. In my way, the certificate flew away from my mothers hand and fell in dirty rain water because of the heavy wind. My mother picked it up and we sat in our car. We went home, ate lunch and then went out to the railway station. When our train came we went and sat in our seats. After that, the day went normal.

We were watching a movie
and my mother wanted to cry.
She took an onion and started to CRY!!

I feel normal when i am alone

When my father hugs me I freeze.

BUT! When my mother hugs me I melt!!

ANGER
This is a poem I learnt in class 4. My mother said it is a very good poem. Here it is.

Anger is black,
Anger is red,
Anger steams inside your head.
Whirling around, getting you mad
making you hotter
making you bad.

You feel you want to be evil,
to every one you see.
Hatefull and horrible
Is all you care to be
shouting and crying,
And sudenlly, the anger isn't there at all.
